About our courses: Course T and Course W

Course T

$820.00 per week per student - for private lessons - including accomodation and food.

$720.00 per student if they arrange to come as a group (2 or more people).

The course is made to suit your level of English. You can be elementary, intermediate or advanced.
We focus on speaking and listening skills but also include strategies to improve your reading and writing skills.

This course helps you to identify and overcome some of the problems you may be having when speaking and listening in English.

We give you lots of opportunity to practise with native English speakers, in a supportive and friendly environment.
The content of the course includes:

  1. lifestyle skills: everyday living, booking transport, banking, medical care, hairdressers, tax in NZ, job finding, etc.
  2. The history of NZ: its nature and its people.
  3. The cities of NZ: their characteristics
  4. Where to find the natural wonders of NZ: mountains, glaciers, fiords, beaches, spectacular waterfalls, thermal regions, our native land and sea animals.

We take a day trip once a week to local beauty spots: mountains/ beaches, nature centres, museums etc.

Course W

$820.00 per week per student - for private lessons - including accomodation and food.

$720.00 per student if they arrange to come as a group (2 or more people).

This course is similar to course 'T' but also includes experiencing the skills and language needed for working on a farm.

Participants can choose to do an hour of wwoofing per day to gain 'first-hand' experience.

Both courses include time for presentations and discussions, which happen at meal times as well as in the classroom.

StudentsParticipants have come from France, Germany, Austria, the Czech republic, Argentina, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Japan. We all speak English together - it’s great!

The morning classes at Ngahape are very small. The maximum class size is 4. Some students have private lessons. If there is something particular that you want to focus on you must tell me and I will include it in the lesson.
