Ngahape English language Homestay is situated in the countryside with the rugged Tararua mountains (right) nearby. We are located just two kms from the village of Featherston and 5 kms from Lake Wairarapa. Students can borrow bicyles and picnic by the lake or go for walks amongst New Zealand's beautiful native trees in the numerous forests in the region.

Travelling to the school

If you don't have a car (most students don't), the easiest way to get to Ngahape English Language Homestay is to take the train from Wellington (capital city of New Zealand) to Featherston. This is a one hour journey and costs NZ$11.00. If you are already on the east coast, in Napier or Palmerston North, you can catch a bus to Featherston. Emily will meet you at Featherston train or bus station.
