W.W.O.O.F.
stands for WILLING WORKERS ON ORGANIC FARMS. The scheme
gives you the opportunity to live with New Zealand families.
You work for them in exchange for your food and accommodation.
You learn organic farming methods by helping on the farm and
having 'hands on' experience.
It's a way to meet interesting people and
practice your English (see Ngahape
courses). It may also give you insights
into alternative ways of living. You can become a member of
WWOOF and receive a membership book. In the book each WWOOFing
host has written a description of their farm, family and interests.
There are over 500 affiliated WWOOFing farms
throughout New Zealand to choose from.
Read comments from Japanese student Eli Chujo (language is Japanese).
